Ashley Tisdale at Big Sis Jennifer’s Birthday Party in a Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Silk Maxi Dress

When I first saw this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Anguila maxi dress, I let out a small gasp. I thought the print was stunning and a beautiful reworking of the designer’s now signature ikat-inspired print:

So I was happy to see Ashley Tisdale wearing this dress to her big sister Jennifer’s birthday party which was held at the Lexington Social House in Hollywood last Saturday. It must be the harsh camera flash or the confusing mix of accessories Ashley Tisdale chose to pair with it because unfortunately, the dress on Ashley kind of lost its wow factor for me.

Ashley Tisdale wore the dress with her favorite Something Else velvet mini bag and a not-quite-matching pair of taupe suede platform pumps. Ashley completed her party look with piled on jewelry, including the Theodora & Callum Istanbul pendant necklace also seen just very recently on BFF Vanessa Hudgens.

The entire effect just looks overworked, which is a shame because both Ashley Tisdale and the dress are gorgeous. And as you might’ve noticed, we’re fans of Ashley Tisdale’s style here on YourNextDress, so this is kind of a major letdown.
